In the News: Via Broad Street Review, The Crossing presents Month of Moderns 2

The arts publication enjoyed an innovative choral performance from this landmark local ensemble.

Philadelphia’s The Crossing makes choral music for the contemporary moment. Conducted by Donald Nally, the group performed four shows featuring original commissions during ArtPhilly's What Now: 2026. Broad Street Review was there to capture the moment.

It was a joy to once again hear the clarity, sonority, and depth of Nally’s remarkable ensemble. Their concerts require that the (appreciative) audience be fully committed to the density of both the often-challenging music and its texts, following the intricate words in a printed program or in clear and prominently projected supertitles.
